The YES that Changed Everything!

When God Said "Build My Church"… I Wanted to Say No.

Two years ago, the Lord woke me up in the middle of the night and said three words I’ll never forget:

“Build My Church.”

I knew it was Him… because never in a million years would I have chosen this on my own.

If I’m being honest, missions was never something I naturally leaned toward. I had only been on one mission trip in my life—at 16 years old—and it was the same summer my best friend was killed on the mission field. You can imagine how that moment shaped me deeply.

And as I grew, I found myself thinking, “There are enough problems in our own country… why go elsewhere?”

But what I’ve come to realize is this:

It wasn’t the truth that was holding me back…
It was what I thought I knew about the truth.

Scripture says: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…” (Matthew 28:19)

Note: That doesn’t say “Go into your own back yard,” it says, “Go into all the nations…”

Second note: It’s not a command for some of us to go.

That call isn’t for a select few—pastors, missions departments, etc.
It’s for all of us.

Since that night, I have watched God do the unthinkable.

I’ve seen Him take “the least of these”—ME, my closest friends, family members, even people I didn’t know across the world—into places like Africa, India, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Chile…
…and not only transform their lives, but the lives of the people they were sent to serve.

I’ve watched families change.
Businesses grow.
Churches launched.
People healed.

All because of a few faithful YES’s.

And now… that YES has gone global.

In just 40 days, we have the honor of sending a GLOBAL team—from America, Canada, Brazil, and Chile—to go together on mission to the country of El Salvador.

But this isn’t just about going somewhere new.

It’s about learning how to come back changed…
and bring that transformation into our own communities.

Our mission is simple and powerful:
To bring the Church together—on mission—so that we don’t just go globally, but we live differently locally.
