Arise & Align
A prophetic word for this season
Three years ago, the Lord gave me a prophetic picture.
At the time, I wrote down what I saw, prayed over it, and tucked it away, knowing it would matter someday. Then, at the beginning of this year, He gave me one word and I knew it tied directly to the picture He had previsouly given me:
Align.
He prompted me to share pieces of it publicly.
And then... He shut my mouth.
Now, for those of you who know me, you know how unusual that is.
I’m a communicator. I not only write, I teach. I podcast. I speak. I open my mouth (bahah).
Yet this year, I simply couldn’t.
Every time I tried to move forward in my own strength, something stopped me. Every time I thought I had clarity, God seemed to invite me deeper into silence, surrender, and dependence.
Then the breaking began.
The shifting began.
The subtraction began.
And somewhere in the middle of it all, I realized something that stopped me in my tracks:
I wasn’t just carrying the prophetic word.
I was living it.
In. The. Middle. Of. It.
What God had shown me years earlier was no longer a message to share—it had become a process to walk through.
Then I began watching it happen all around me.
Friends.
Clients.
Leaders.
Even my husband.
One after another, I watched people enter the very season God had shown me years before.
It was there, in that place of surrender, where God began teaching me what this word really meant.
Not intellectually.
Experientially.
For those familiar with the prophetic, you know there is a difference between receiving a word and becoming the word.
Receiving requires hearing. Becoming requires surrender.
And I believe that’s exactly what God has been doing in this season.
I believe one of the ways God has called me to serve the Body of Christ is through the prophetic—to hear His heart, discern the season, and then, in His timing, help equip others to walk in what He is saying.
But I’ve learned something through the years: God rarely lets me teach a word He hasn’t first made me live. So what I’m sharing with you today is not simply something I heard.
It’s something I’ve lived.
And this one? This one has marked me.
That being said, CHURCH, I believe we are close.
Closer than many realize.
And today, I want to share the prophetic word exactly as the Lord gave it to me, along with the broader vision He has continued to unfold over these last few years.
My prayer is simple:
That those with ears to hear will hear.
And those with eyes to see will see.
Here’s the word...
Prophetic Word
...for you are to be a pure container of Christ and dedicated to the honorable purposes of your Master, prepared for every good work that he gives you to do (2 Timothy 3:21 The Passion Translation).
Too often as believers, we see our quiet time with the Lord as the place where we bring Him “our cup to fill.” We sit with Him, He fills our cup, and then we go live our day, pouring ourselves out until—sometimes within an hour, sometimes a day, sometimes a week—we’re empty again. So we return to His presence, holding out our cup once more, “Fill me, Lord.”
Over time, we start to believe that getting a “bigger cup” is what spiritual maturity looks like. Look at me—I’ve got a bigger cup now! We take pride in it, thinking we’ve leveled up because He fills us more and we last longer before running dry.
Weeks—maybe even months—pass, and our increased capacity leads us to do more for the Lord. We pat ourselves on the back, convinced that because we’re running on empty less often, we must be maturing. After all, isn’t that what growth looks like?
But here’s the subtle danger: we start to confuse stamina in the assignment with intimacy in His presence, when in reality, we’re drifting further from His feet. We’re doing more for Him while sitting less with Him.
But here’s what we’re missing: He doesn’t just want to fill your cup. He wants to fill you. You are His vessel. He longs to be in union with you. He doesn’t fill you so you can go do more for Him. He fills you so you can be more with Him.
And sometimes, the place He chooses to do that deep filling—the place where union happens—is hidden, quiet, and unexpected.
This was exactly my experience.
Three years ago, I was rocking my fifth baby to sleep. She would only drift off in a pitch-black room, so I often found myself tucked away in the farthest corner of our house—rocking, hour after hour.
Those moments brought me so much joy as a mom. But let’s be honest—any mom out there knows that motherhood can also feel boring, lonely, and downright exhausting. On one particular day, after rocking her for what felt like eleven hours and running through my mental to-do list of everything that was waiting for me once she finally went to sleep, I found myself unexpectedly still before the Lord—not just praying to Him, but actually listening for Him.
And it was in that quiet space that God appeared to me in an open-eyed vision.
Before me was a massive pool of water. Still. Calm. All of a sudden, the water began to swirl around in circles, around and around, faster and faster. Then—like someone had pulled the cover off the drain—a violent suction began. The water began spinning around faster and faster, like those theme park rides where you whirl around a giant funnel before shooting down into the abyss. My kids call it “the toilet bowl.”
I could feel the effects of this draining, deep in my spirit, and I heard the Lord say, “That is an attack from the enemy. He is draining My people.”
Shocked, I asked Him, “Draining Your people? In what way?”
And I heard Him reply, “Every way.”
Then, suddenly, flashes of light streamed across my mind’s eye—but it wasn’t just light. It was faces. Real faces, as vivid as if they were standing right in front of me. Hopeless faces. Anxious faces. Exhausted, overrun faces. And what struck me most—these weren’t strangers who didn’t know God. These were the faces of people who loved the Lord. Then, it was as if I could feel all their feelings. It hit me at once: fear, exhaustion, sheer weariness. I saw quick glimpses of it all—financial draining, spiritual draining, emotional draining, relational draining—just wave after wave, hitting lives, homes, relationships, and businesses.
I saw words written like neon signs over their heads: “burnout,” “anxiety attack,” “depression.” And the result? Suicide. Marriages disrupted and husbands and wives quietly drifting apart, ending in divorce. People quitting on the God-given dreams they once fought for. Bankruptcy. Broken relationships between parents and kids. Friendships torn apart. Even fractures within church leadership.
Desperately I found myself asking, “Why is this happening, Lord? And what can I do about this?”
Then I heard the Lord say, “Look up!”
And just like that, I saw what looked like soldiers—thousands upon thousands—leaping from heaven’s realm. One after another after another, descending like an unstoppable army.
As I looked down to see where they were landing, I noticed holes scattered everywhere—as if a farmer had never stopped digging.
“What are those deep holes, Lord?”
“Obedience.”
“Obedience?!” I asked, quite honestly surprised by His response.
And instantly, I knew. These holes represented every obedient “yes” from men and women of God who had given everything to what He asked of them: writing the book, contending for their marriage, interceding for healing, praying through impossible doctor’s reports, starting their business and ministry.
Each hole stood for a business birthed in faith, a church planted in prayer, a family on the brink of separation while contending for restoration, a bold step towards an “impossible” dream. These were the trenches of obedience—dug deep, seeded, watered by tears—and yet, still dry. No rain. No fruit. And worse, the draining had ravaged them so severely it felt like all had been for nothing.
Tears filled my eyes because I knew. This wasn’t just “their” story—it was mine too. I knew the ache of disappointment. I knew the pain of wondering if I’d even heard the Lord correctly. I knew what it felt like to cling to faith by the skin of my teeth because what was the alternative—give up on God?!
These holes told the story of years of obedience, countless tears, financial sacrifice, and a pure heart poured out before Him—and still, nothing.
But then… my gaze shifted.
What I had first seen as army men suddenly became raindrops—small and countless—but as they hit the earth, they exploded like bombs. Massive water-bombs striking the ground. And instantly, the soil drank them up faster than I could blink.
All of a sudden, rain transformed into what looked like a waterfall from heaven, spilling across the earth. But what stunned me most was this: the water wasn’t just pooling on the ground. It was flooding those deep holes of obedience—those trenches of sacrifice.
It rained and rained and rained, from heaven to earth. I just watched as it poured into the depths of these trenches. And then something miraculous happened. Instead of the dirt just absorbing the rain, the water hit the bottom and with an unstoppable force, began surging upward, bursting back to the surface.
The holes overflowed and water shot upwards. Now, the rain wasn’t just falling from heaven to earth, it was shooting from earth to heaven. You could no longer tell the difference in the direction of the water.
And suddenly, I heard the Lord again, “Let me fill you.”
I lifted my eyes—and in an instant, I wasn’t just standing beneath the waterfall. I was in it. More than that, it felt as though I had become one with it. The water crashed over me, drenching me from the top of my head to the soles of my feet. The downpour was relentless and powerful. It didn’t just touch me—it overtook me.
And in the overtaking, I felt truly alive.
I heard the voice of the Lord again, thundering over me, “Let Me fill you.”
In that moment, I knew this was a prophetic picture of what the Lord wants to do.
God doesn’t just want to fill your cup. He wants to fill YOU.
He doesn’t want you hustling to do more for Him. He wants to be in you—living as one, fully united with you.
Paul says it best in the book of Ephesians: …all the devoted believers who have been made holy by being one with Jesus, the Anointed One. May God himself, the heavenly Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, release grace over you and impart total well-being into your lives. Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm has already been lavished upon us as a love gift from our wonderful heavenly Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus—all because he sees us wrapped into Christ. This is why we celebrate him with all our hearts! (Ephesians 1:2–3 TPT).
Jesus didn’t just die for you. He came to live in you, to make you His holy vessel, so you’re no longer striving to “do more for Him,” but instead living as one with Him. So surrendered, so yielded, so filled that you can’t help but explode with His glory. That—right there—is the reality of the cross.
Scripture goes on to say: And in love he chose us before he laid the foundation of the universe! Because of his great love, he ordained us, so that we would be seen as holy in his eyes with an unstained innocence. For it was always in his perfect plan to adopt us as his delightful children, through our union with Jesus, the Anointed One, so that his tremendous love that cascades over us would glorify his grace—for the same love he has for the Beloved, Jesus, he has for us. And this unfolding plan brings him great pleasure! Since we are now joined to Christ, we have been given the treasures of redemption by his blood—the total cancellation of our sins—all because of the cascading riches of his grace. This superabundant grace is already powerfully working in us, releasing all forms of wisdom and practical understanding. And through the revelation of the Anointed One, he unveiled his secret desires to us—the hidden mystery of his long-range plan, which he was delighted to implement from the very beginning of time. And because of God’s unfailing purpose, this detailed plan will reign supreme through every period of time until the fulfillment of all the ages finally reaches its climax—when God makes all things new in all of heaven and earth through Jesus Christ. Through our union with Christ we too have been claimed by God as his own inheritance. Before we were even born, he gave us our destiny; that we would fulfill the plan of God who always accomplishes every purpose and plan in his heart. God’s purpose was that we Jews, who were the first to long for the messianic hope, would be the first to believe in the Anointed One and bring great praise and glory to God! (Ephesians 1:4–12 TPT).
He wants to flood every part of you until you can’t help but overflow—until your very life cascades with His kingdom glory. Because His heart has always been to bring heaven to earth, and yes, He wants to do that through you. But more than that? He simply wants you.
And even in the midst of whatever struggles you are going through, whether you find yourself wandering in the wilderness or at a mountaintop moment, He sees you. Every seed of faith you’ve planted. Every prayer you’ve whispered. Every dream you’ve dared to dream. He sees it all—your disappointment, your desires, your fears, your bold “yeses,” your tears. Every step of obedience, He’s seen it. And I believe He’s saying: “Stop coming to Me just asking Me to fill your cup. I want to fill YOU.”
He wants to do so much more than just answer a prayer, He wants to fill you.
This is what it means to sit under the waterfall of His grace, and to align with His ways.
This is what it means to Arise and Align.
As we see in the book of Ephesians, and as Paul continues to write (and seriously, go read the whole book of Ephesians!): Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of His love will become the very source and root of your life. Then you will be empowered to discover… the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions… endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God! (Ephesians 3:17–19 TPT).
Did you catch that? His extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God! This is what happens when we stop asking Him to fill our cup… and allow Him to fill us.
This season we are in is not meant to be just words on a page or another process to intellectualize. It is meant to become your living reality. No longer seeking the Lord only to fill your cup so you can do more for Him—but allowing Him to fill you as you learn to live life with Him. No longer viewing salvation as merely an escape from hell, but as an open invitation to step into the fullness of who Jesus is and who you are in Him—here and now, on this side of eternity.
Let this be the testimony of your life: Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for His miraculous power constantly energizes you (Ephesians 3:20 TPT).
This is what it means to Arise and Align.
